The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care and support to hospice patients in an inpatient setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Reports to the Nurse Manager and works full-time night shifts (8 pm – 8 am), scheduled for 3 x 12-hour shifts, including some weekends. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, transfers, ambulation, and feeding, as well as maintaining cleanliness, recording patient interventions, and reporting changes in patient condition. Performs routine housekeeping, equipment cleaning, and documentation; may take vital signs and assist with simple dressings under RN supervision. Participates in ongoing education, backup call coverage, and ensures compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications include WV CNA licensure, at least one year of experience, reliable transportation, and physical ability to perform job duties. Uses medical and office equipment, and demonstrates strong communication skills in English.
This role offers starting pay at $20.50/hour, with night and weekend differentials, and requires a commitment to compassionate patient care during overnight shifts.
