Certified Medical Assistant – CMA – Primary Care

Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting, functioning as a vital team member under the provider’s supervision.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients, collect and review health information, perform technical duties such as EKGs and wound dressings, assist during minor procedures, and support patient safety and privacy. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, documentation, referrals, billing, and patient communication. Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and support infection control protocols. Assist with inventory management and sterilization processes. Actively participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from recognized associations required. Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma program preferred. High school diploma or GED is mandatory. Strong clinical, administrative, and communication skills are essential.

Additional Details: Full-time role with office hours typically between early mornings and evenings.
