Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting, functioning as a vital member of the healthcare team under provider supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients, collect and review information, perform technical duties such as EKGs, wound dressings, and minor procedures, and support patient safety and privacy. Administer medications, collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and support laboratory functions. Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, documentation, referrals, billing, and patient communication. Assist with inventory, instrument sterilization, and room setup, ensuring infection control protocols. Participate in patient education, safety programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required, certified by recognized associations. Preferred graduation from accredited medical assisting programs. Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills essential. Ability to work in a clinical environment, follow protocols, and ensure patient safety.
