Role Overview: This position is for outpatient Certified Medical Assistants who provide top-tier patient care in ambulatory settings, utilizing their certification to perform clinical and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist patients with visits, support minor procedures, administer medications and tests, perform phlebotomy, support laboratory functions, handle clerical tasks including scheduling and billing, facilitate patient communication, reinforce education, manage supplies, sterilize instruments, maintain infection control, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a graduate of a specialty training program is preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from recognized organizations (e.g., NHA, AAMA) is mandatory. Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and infection control skills are essential.
