Certified Medical Assistant – CMA

Role Overview: This position is for outpatient Certified Medical Assistants responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. The role involves obtaining and documenting patient information, preparing examination rooms, assisting with procedures, administering medications, performing tests and phlebotomy, and supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling, referrals, and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather patient data, assist with clinical procedures, and ensure patient safety and privacy.
  • Perform EKGs, wound care, specimen collection, and laboratory functions within competency.
  • Support clerical duties, documentation, and patient flow management.
  • Reinforce patient education and facilitate communication with providers.
  • Maintain infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and monitor equipment.
  • Participate in safety, quality improvement, and orientation activities.

  • Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred; certification as CMA or RMA required, with certification from recognized governing bodies. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment are essential. High school diploma or equivalent required; specialty training preferred.
