Certified Medical Assistant – Central Float Pool

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting, working as a key member of the healthcare team under provider supervision.

Key Responsibilities: Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with patient procedures, perform EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing inquiries, maintaining medical records, and facilitating referrals.
Support patient education, inventory supplies, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols.
Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required, certified by recognized organizations.
Preferred completion of a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program.
Demonstrate competency in clinical procedures, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.

Additional Duties: Assist in onboarding new staff, respond to patient inquiries, and support clinic operations.
May require travel and active participation in a fast-paced clinical environment.
