Caregiver

Role Overview

The Caregiver provides essential hands-on support to seniors, promoting their safety, dignity, and independence. Key responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, following individualized service plans, and documenting any changes. They engage residents through conversation and activities, support dining services, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. In Memory Care, they create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
  • Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills

Key Duties:

  • Assist residents with ADLs while promoting safety and independence
  • Follow and document personalized care plans
  • Engage residents in social and daily activities
  • Support dining and maintain a safe environment
  • Communicate effectively with families and care teams
  • Provide enriching experiences for memory care residents
