Care Manager – Senior Living

Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional resident care and supporting the caregiving team in an assisted living or senior care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as needed.
  • Coach and mentor caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and proper documentation.
  • Review resident charting, ensuring compliance with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
  • Monitor resident status, communicate concerns promptly, and support safety and compliance efforts.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members and promote a positive, professional environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED; age 18+.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
  • Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.

Key Duties: Leading shifts, coaching staff, ensuring resident safety, reviewing documentation, and supporting new team members to promote quality and compassionate care.
