Role Overview
The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leader responsible for ensuring high-quality, compassionate resident care in an assisted living setting. They manage shift assignments, oversee attendance and coverage, and provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL).
Key responsibilities include coaching and supporting caregiving staff on quality standards, documentation, and hospitality, as well as reviewing charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP). They monitor resident changes, communicate concerns promptly, and promote safety and compliance. Additionally, they support onboarding and mentor new team members to foster a supportive work environment.
The role requires strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills, with experience in senior care preferred. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications, and demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.
