Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior care environment, ensuring exceptional resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.

Key responsibilities include

leading shift assignments, managing attendance, and coordinating coverage

providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL)

coaching caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation

reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)

monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly

supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members

promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications, along with strong

communication, delegation, and decision-making skills

and experience in assisted living or senior care.
