Care Manager

Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior care environment, ensuring exceptional resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.

Key responsibilities include

  • leading shift assignments, managing attendance, and coordinating coverage
  • providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • coaching caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation
  • reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
  • monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly
  • supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members
  • promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
  • This role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications, along with strong

  • communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
  • and experience in assisted living or senior care.
