Lead Caregiver Role Summary

As a Lead Caregiver, you serve as a frontline shift leader responsible for providing exceptional resident care and supporting the caregiving team. Your duties include

leading shift assignments, managing attendance, and coordinating coverage

delivering hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

coaching caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards

reviewing charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)

monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly

supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members

promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or GED, 18+, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills are essential. Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred.
