Care Manager

Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident support while coaching and mentoring team members. They manage shift assignments, attendance, and coverage, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading shift operations and ensuring smooth transitions
  • Providing direct care and supporting residents’ individual needs based on their service plans
  • Training and coaching caregivers on quality standards, documentation, and hospitality
  • Monitoring resident health changes and communicating concerns promptly
  • Supporting onboarding and mentoring new staff members
  • Promoting safety, compliance, and effective team collaboration

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED, age 18+
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
  • Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care settings

The role combines hands-on caregiving with leadership responsibilities, fostering a compassionate, professional environment to enhance residents’ quality of life.
