Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior living environment, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.
Responsibilities include leading shift assignments, managing attendance, providing hands-on support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP), monitoring resident changes, and communicating concerns promptly.
The role involves mentoring new team members, promoting safety and compliance, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
The position combines frontline caregiving with leadership duties, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Key Duties:

• Lead shift operations and manage team coverage
• Provide direct ADL support to residents
• Coach team members on caregiving standards and documentation
• Review and ensure care plans are followed
• Monitor resident status and communicate concerns
• Support onboarding and mentorship of new staff
• Ensure safety, compliance, and effective shift transitions
