Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Cardiac Telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential, with a focus on assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. The role requires maintaining a safe environment and applying critical nursing skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Telemetry experience and BSN degree are highly preferred
- No prior experience required; leadership experience is not mandatory
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role, demonstrating alertness and safety awareness
Key Duties:
- Monitoring patients using telemetry according to established protocols
- Educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
- Participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Developing and communicating comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the team and patients
