Cardiac PCU – Clinical RN (Days or Nights)

Role Overview:

This registered nurse position involves caring for patients with acute and intermediate cardiology conditions, including heart failure, post-transplant care, and continuous telemetry monitoring. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and collaboration within a high-acuity environment utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in compliance with nursing standards.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring continuity across care teams.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, respecting cultural and personal preferences.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: RN license, BLS required, ACLS within 1 year.
  • Experience: No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
  • Skills: Critical thinking, patient education, teamwork, adaptability to advanced medical technologies.
