Role: Cardiovascular Tech RCIS responsible for supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians during procedures as a scrub tech and circulator
- Operating imaging equipment and monitoring patient status
- Interpreting EKGs, pressures, and waveforms
- Preparing and maintaining the cath lab, including stocking supplies and troubleshooting equipment
- Post-procedure care such as sheath removal and monitoring patient recovery
- Contributing to staff training and orientation
- Transporting patients and ensuring sterile technique
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience
- Required licenses and certifications, including AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support
- RCIS certification within six months of hire or ARRT and TX RT(R) certification
- Knowledge of medications, procedures, and inventory management
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and demonstrate theoretical understanding of procedures
