Behavior Intervention Implementor SY 26-27

Role Overview:
The Behavior Intervention Implementer (BII) supports students with disabilities by implementing ABA treatment plans, behavior interventions, and classroom support under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute behavior intervention plans, gather data, and document progress.
  • Assist students with individualized goals, personal care, and hygiene, ensuring dignity and independence.
  • Support classroom instruction, reinforce positive behavior, and aid teachers in creating conducive learning environments.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and school events, maintaining communication with staff and families.
  • Contribute to school community initiatives and uphold school policies and standards.
  • Perform general clerical duties and assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and demonstrate leadership through problem-solving.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least 1 year classroom experience as a special education or behavioral aide.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to physically assist students, respond to behaviors promptly, and maintain emotional regulation.
  • Preferred bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

  • Essential Functions:
    Ability to supervise students actively, respond swiftly to behaviors, and support with mobility and personal care while ensuring safety and dignity.
