The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for applying evidence-based assessments and interventions to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. They collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and families to develop and implement behavior support and skill acquisition plans, including conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), designing treatment plans, and training staff and caregivers. The role involves providing clinical supervision, data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation to ensure high-quality, compliant services.
Qualified candidates must hold current BACB certification, a relevant master’s degree, and licensure in a mental health discipline. They should have at least two years of post-master’s experience with children/adolescents, including conducting FBAs and developing behavior plans. Essential skills include excellent communication, supervision, problem-solving, and cultural competence. Physical ability to travel, lift, and work in diverse environments is required.
