Role Overview:
This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in a high-volume, Level One Trauma Center, overseeing perioperative services in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring department productivity aligns with operational goals. Responsibilities include staff performance management, participation in budgeting, and overseeing patient care for diverse surgical specialties such as gynecology, urology, colorectal, MIS, bariatrics, and robotic surgeries.
Key duties encompass coordinating patient care, maintaining equipment, managing staff productivity, and fostering team development. The role requires strong communication skills, leadership experience, and knowledge of perioperative procedures. The position is safety-sensitive, demanding alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- RN License
- 2-5 years of experience; some supervisory experience preferred
- Additional experience (5-10 years) and supervisory experience (< 2 years) are preferred
