Role: Assistant Nurse Manager for Hearts Pod 3 at a Level One Trauma Center.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 30 nurses, oversee staff scheduling, interviewing, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. Ensure delivery of patient care aligned with planned interventions, coordinate staff productivity, and support departmental operational goals. Participate in staffing, budgeting, and resource management. Lead staff communication, handle payroll and time management, and facilitate staff development. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, RN license, 2-5 years of experience, with preferred 5-10 years and less than 2 years of supervisory experience. OR and leadership experience preferred. Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment, strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
