Role: The Assistant Director supports the Director in managing nursing services to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting daily nursing operations and staff performance.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Participating in hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching staff.
- Managing staffing schedules and coverage.
- Conducting clinical rounds to assess patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Monitoring documentation accuracy and supporting infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination.
- Responding professionally to patient and family concerns.
- Acting as liaison between nursing staff and administration.
- Assuming leadership in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
- Experience in nursing or healthcare leadership.
