Role Overview: Provides patient care in collaboration with physicians, demonstrating autonomy in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and performs procedures within scope. Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure safe, ethical, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, establish diagnoses, and implement treatment plans.
- Document thoroughly in electronic medical records and order appropriate tests.
- Prescribe, adjust, or discontinue therapies as needed.
- Report significant findings or risks to the collaborating physician.
- Perform procedures within licensed scope.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide health education and advocate for patients in understandable language.
- Follow policies, guidelines, and meet organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies (required); Master’s preferred.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnostic interpretation, and evidence-based practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
