Role: Advanced Practice Provider in Neurocritical Care responsible for delivering healthcare, including diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals for patients in specialized areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties such as patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and ordering tests.
- Manage patient care plans, consult with physicians, and facilitate patient and family involvement.
- Educate patients to promote self-management and ensure follow-up.
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality care and positive health outcomes.
- Stay current with professional development through seminars, journals, and organizations.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, licensure, and certifications.
- Participate in departmental planning, quality improvement, and staff meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Physician Assistant with licensure from the Texas Board and NCCPA certification, or
- Master’s degree in nursing with valid RN license, APRN licensure, and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, ANP, GNP, or ACNP).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and patient-centered care skills.
- Ability to develop work processes, support team goals, and adhere to policies and regulations.
