Advanced Practice Provider I – Hospitalist – Night Shift

Role Overview: An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in hospitalist care during night shifts, responsible for delivering comprehensive patient healthcare in primary or specialty areas.


  • Provide patient diagnoses, treatment, education, and referrals while serving as a clinical resource and role model for practitioners and students.
  • Assist leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing APP activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Perform clinical duties such as taking histories, conducting physical exams, ordering tests, and developing care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, educate patients and families, and support interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain current licensure, certifications, and adhere to policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership, effective communication, patient-centered behaviors, and knowledge of organizational policies.
  • Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and compliance activities.

  • Qualifications:
    • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant healthcare programs and appropriate licensure and certifications based on the specific role (Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Clinical Nurse Specialist).
    • Current BLS certification from recognized organizations.
    • Valid state licensure and active certification as required for their specialty.
    • Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
