Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety and quality initiatives. Nurses develop and document individualized care plans, communicate effectively across teams, and assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Promote healing environment and educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
- Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to create and communicate care plans aligned with standards of nursing practice.
- Assess patient needs holistically, considering values, barriers, and preferences.
- Maintain safety-sensitive awareness and work safely at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for higher roles.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills.
