Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting patient and family-centered care and educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Participating in activities to ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Ensuring communication of care plans across the continuum and working in a safety-sensitive environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing; bachelor’s preferred.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Experience: No experience required; less than two years preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
