Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting, managing patients with diverse clinical issues such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, social workers, and physicians, to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards.
Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in ongoing professional development.
Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
Current RN licensure.
No prior experience required; two years of experience is preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
