Role Overview:
Provides high-quality acute internal medicine nursing care for patients with complex medical conditions such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine issues, cardiac and renal failure, GI conditions, and infectious diseases. Collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective treatment and ensure patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Educates patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and engages in professional development activities.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a high-acuity environment.
Position Details:
- Full-time, night shift (7pm to 7am), 12-hour shifts.
- Salary includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus eligibility.
