Registered Nurse (Acute Care – Surgical Specialties)
Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care for post-operative and acutely ill surgical patients in a fast-paced environment. Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver medications with accuracy and safety. Manage complex wound and drain care, monitor patients closely for complications, and respond promptly to changing clinical conditions.
Key Duties
- Assess patients, monitor vital signs and clinical status, and identify/report complications.
- Administer medications and implement treatment plans.
- Provide complex wound and drain care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on care, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Document care accurately using EHR systems and leverage advanced clinical technology.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives and continuous professional learning.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage acuity and surgical post-op needs.
- Proficiency in medication administration, wound/drain care, and clinical monitoring.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with EHR documentation preferred.
