Acute Care Nurse – Full-Time Nights

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing a range of clinical issues such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, infectious diseases, and respiratory conditions. The nurse will develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care.

Responsibilities

Promote patient- and family-centered care, ensuring safety and quality compliance

Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations

Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans, coordinating across care teams

Participate in professional development and safety activities

Provide education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge care

Qualifications & Skills

Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
