The staff physician position aims to establish a community-based, family-centered primary care program focused on improving access, health outcomes, and prevention through integrated services.
Develop personalized care plans, including history, examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals. Emphasize preventive medicine, utilizing diagnostic resources to confirm or rule out diseases. Provide non-discriminatory care across all patient demographics, including immunizations and vaccinations. Collaborate with healthcare team members and specialists, ensuring confidentiality and quality care. Maintain accurate documentation, manage a full patient panel, and meet productivity standards. Deliver comprehensive care across life stages and settings, supporting community health initiatives. Adhere to standards of care, clinical protocols, and comply with legal and accreditation requirements. Participate in practice development, quality assurance, and staff activities; supervise support staff indirectly and precept learners. Report to the Director of Family Medicine and work collaboratively within the organization to optimize patient services. Requirements include a medical degree, active South Carolina license, board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, effective communication skills, clinical expertise, and ability to work in a moderate environment with some travel.
