Physician/Director of Medical Services

The Physician provides outpatient medical care to patients of all ages in a rural setting and serves as Director of Medical Services, overseeing the clinic and medical team.

  • Deliver responsible, respectful patient care, including history-taking, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention services.
  • Coordinate ongoing treatment and care for chronically ill patients and families; be available for on-call and after-hours support.
  • Electronically document all patient interactions, review lab and study reports, and ensure timely updates.
  • Refer patients to specialists, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with external agencies for comprehensive care.
  • Develop procedures, train staff, supervise medical personnel, and provide consultation to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage electronic health records, ensure compliance with regulations, and participate in quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain current medical knowledge through continuing education and develop specialty clinics.
  • Provide excellent customer service, attend meetings, and serve on committees as directed.
  • Supervise medical staff, including nurses and mid-level providers, and ensure organizational compliance.

  • Qualifications include a Washington medical license with experience in primary care, preferred board certification, and knowledge of Native American health needs. Must possess excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to work independently in a rural environment. Additional requirements include immunizations, CPR/ACLS certifications, and a valid driver’s license. The role involves clinical work, occasional travel, and adherence to privacy and conflict-of-interest policies. Offers full-time employment with competitive salary and benefits.
