The Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, treatment, and education to residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Conducts assessments, diagnoses, and develops individualized treatment plans.
Performs bedside swallowing evaluations, dietary recommendations, and modifies therapy based on progress.
Documents evaluations and progress notes according to policies.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
Educates residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
Participates in care planning and supervises therapy assistants and students.
Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and promotes a positive care environment.
Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, valid licensure in Oregon, and preferred CCC-SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred.
