The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders upon physician orders.
Conduct screenings for new and existing residents, and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education.
Develop programs tailored to resident needs to promote maximum functional ability and assist in meeting certification standards.
Follow infection control policies, uphold residents’ rights, and manage caseload scheduling and documentation.
Communicate with administration regarding staffing and productivity, and provide staff in-service education.
Maintain professional conduct, attire, and communication at all times.
