Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Support healthcare delivery within a correctional facility by assisting with patient intake and clinical care. Work closely with nurses, providers, and custody staff to help ensure safe, high-quality medical, dental, and psychiatric services.
Key Duties
- Perform patient intake and collect vital signs.
- Assist with patient exams and minor procedures.
- Administer medications according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and facility requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical and custody partners to support patient safety and continuity of care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to assist with examinations and minor procedures safely.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient privacy.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate medical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
