Operating Room Registered Nurse (Perioperative)
Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care for surgical patients. Serve as both circulating and scrubbing nurse across a variety of procedures, ensuring sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate documentation.
Key duties
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to coordinate perioperative care.
- Perform patient assessments, implement and update care plans, and maintain readiness for emergencies.
- Circulate and scrub for procedures while following evidence-based perioperative practices.
- Maintain and verify correct instruments, supplies, and documentation throughout the surgical process.
- Respond promptly to intraoperative changes and emergency situations to support positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure.
- Clinical competence in perioperative/operating room nursing and sterile processing practices.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Ability to apply patient care plans and provide safe, high-quality surgical support.
