Neuro ICU Nurse provides advanced, evidence-based care for critically ill neurological patients in a high-acuity ICU. Key duties include performing detailed neuro assessments, managing ventilators and complex infusions (drips), and using advanced neuromonitoring technologies to closely monitor patient status.
Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent, thorough neurological assessments.
- Manage ventilators and administer/monitor complex infusions.
- Use advanced neuromonitoring to detect and respond to clinical changes.
- Deliver patient-first care with a strong focus on safety.
- Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, and an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications / Skills
- Strong critical care nursing foundation with neuro-focused assessment skills.
- Proficiency managing respiratory support and complex infusion therapies.
