Surgical Technologist II supports complex surgical procedures in advanced operating rooms by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, selecting and organizing instruments, and ensuring patient safety and equipment readiness.
Key duties:
- Set up, maintain, and breakdown sterile fields throughout procedures
- Select, organize, and inventory surgical instruments and supplies
- Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure timely availability of equipment
- Maintain patient safety standards and verify operating room readiness
- Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and anesthesia team
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surgical technologists
- Support specialty cases and assist with advanced clinical workflows
