Ambulatory Infusion RN provides outpatient infusion nursing care by administering prescribed therapies in accordance with established protocols.
Key responsibilities include monitoring patients’ responses to treatment, recognizing and reporting adverse reactions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role also involves educating patients and their families on therapies, side effects, and self-care.
In addition, the nurse coordinates treatment plans with an interdisciplinary oncology team to support safe, patient-centered care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse with infusion/outpatient infusion experience
- Strong knowledge of oncology therapies and patient assessment
- Ability to administer medications safely and monitor clinical responses
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Skilled in teamwork and care coordination with interdisciplinary providers
- Strong documentation and clinical decision-making
