Registered Respiratory Therapist (Critical Care)
Assess, plan, and deliver advanced respiratory care to acutely ill patients. Provide ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and emergency airway support. Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to interpret diagnostic tests and adjust treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include following evidence-based protocols, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, ensuring equipment safety, and educating patients and families. Contribute to a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
- Expertise in critical care respiratory management (ventilation and oxygen therapy)
- Ability to support emergency airway needs
- Strong diagnostic interpretation and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with evidence-based protocols, documentation, and equipment safety
- Clear communication and patient/family education skills
