Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including preoperative assessment and preparation of patients and the perioperative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform surgical site verification and ensure correct patient, procedure, and site safety practices.
- Educate patients and families on perioperative care and expectations.
- Deliver intraoperative monitoring and respond to emergent situations with timely clinical action.
- Collaborate with surgeons and an interdisciplinary surgical team to provide safe, evidence-based care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient status.
