Role: QMAP (Medication Assistant)
Provide compassionate, resident-centered support in assisted living and memory care by safely assisting with medication administration and maintaining accurate documentation. Follow physician orders, monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
Key Duties
- Safely administer medications in accordance with physician orders and established procedures
- Document medication and care activities accurately and consistently
- Observe resident condition and watch for side effects or behavioral/health changes
- Report concerns promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Promote dignity, independence, and person-centered care
- Support a warm, engaging environment for residents
Qualifications & Skills
- QMAP certification/qualification
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and documentation
- Ability to monitor residents and communicate effectively with nursing staff
- Compassionate, respectful approach to seniors and individuals with memory care needs
- Strong reliability and teamwork mindset
