Registered Nurse – Acute Psychiatric Unit
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with acute behavioral health needs. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and implement interventions in response to behavioral crises.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations of patient condition
- Create and update care plans based on clinical findings
- Administer medications safely and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Educate patients and families to support understanding and recovery
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure
- Experience or strong interest in acute psychiatric/behavioral health nursing
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting
