LPN – Surgical Unit
Provide compassionate bedside care to post-operative and medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform focused patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Provide wound care and support postoperative recovery
- Administer medications as ordered and observe patient response
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Support early mobility and recovery activities
- Educate patients and families on procedures and discharge plans
- Document care accurately in the EMR
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid LPN license
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Knowledge of wound care and postoperative support
- Medication administration competence
- Effective communication and patient/family education skills
- Accurate documentation and comfort with EMR systems
- Compassionate, team-oriented, mission-driven mindset
