Pulmonary Med Surg Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients with pulmonary and complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical status
- Administer medications according to clinical protocols and ensure safe practice
- Support ventilator and airway management needs and respond to clinical changes
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
- Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient-centered outcomes
- Utilize advanced technology and established clinical pathways to guide care
- Support quality and safety initiatives and participate in continuous improvement
- Precept and mentor newer staff to strengthen team capability
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex pulmonary needs
- Competence in medication administration and airway/ventilator-related support
- Excellent communication, education, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
