Surgical Technologist II supports surgeons and the operating room team by preparing the OR, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting during surgical procedures.
Key duties include:
- Set up the operating room and maintain aseptic, infection-control standards throughout cases
- Handle, pass, and manage surgical instruments and supplies during procedures
- Provide patient safety support for patients of all ages, including assisting with cardiothoracic cases when required
- Perform care, handling, and basic maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
- Follow strict sterile processing and safety protocols in a high-volume surgical environment
Qualifications & skills: strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and infection prevention, proficiency in OR setup and sterile technique, and ability to support surgical teams efficiently while handling instruments and equipment safely.
