Provide direct nursing care to patients in perioperative settings and other high-acuity units, including:
- Pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
- Patients with cardiac dysrhythmias receiving IV drips
- Vascular surgery patients
- General medical overflow patients
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and appropriate nursing interventions
- Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
- Assess patient needs and evaluate care provided by other caregivers
- Protect patient rights and maintain confidentiality
