Medical-Surgical Pulmonary Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care for adults with respiratory and general medical-surgical needs in an inpatient setting.
Key Duties
- Assess patient conditions on admission and each shift
- Administer, monitor, and evaluate medications and treatments
- Implement provider orders and ensure appropriate nursing interventions
- Document nursing care and patient status accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care
- Recognize and communicate changes in condition promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe discharge planning and positive outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient medication administration and patient monitoring
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
