Position Overview

This role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by others. The nurse coordinates patient care across departments, maintains patient rights, and upholds confidentiality, aligning with organizational mission and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-operative care to adult surgical patients on a dedicated surgical floor.
• Manage care for patients undergoing general, bariatric, total joint replacement, fracture repair, and urological procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain documentation, uphold patient rights, and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an RN license in the appropriate state or jurisdiction.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Strong clinical skills in surgical patient care and recovery.
• Ability to work night shifts, with a focus on adult surgical patients requiring post-op care.
