Role: Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients and support their families.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications accurately and safely.
- Delegate tasks and oversee the care provided by other nursing staff.
- Serve as a resource nurse, offering expertise and guidance to team members.
- Perform duties as a preceptor, mentoring new or less experienced staff.
- Act as a charge nurse when assigned, coordinating patient care and team activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of neonatal intensive care practices and procedures.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to delegate effectively and oversee nursing care.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Leadership skills for mentoring and coordinating care as a charge nurse.
